Garden Heroes is an action and strategy game in which you control a group of characters and explore various maps, taking out all the enemies that stand in your way. The strategic part of the game involves adequately using all the resources you collect throughout your adventures to improve your base of operations.

The Garden Heroes controls are similar to other games like the legendary Archero. By moving your thumb across the screen you can control your character (or group of characters), but you will have to stop moving in order to attack. As a result, you have to strike a balance between dodging enemies and being exposed when attacking. Keep in mind, however, that each hero has their own normal and special attacks, so you have to learn their attack range to maximize their effectiveness.

In the beginning, you will only have a couple of heroes at your disposal, but as you pass levels and advance in the Garden Heroes story, you can unlock many more. The first hero you can control is a cute teddy bear. The remaining heroes are also toys or stuffed animals or something similar. The result is that, after just a few minutes, you can lead a wacky squad of characters and face off against all your enemies.
